Motorcycle Insurance
In Florida motorcycle insurance is optional it's not required to register a motorcycle, however if you did get into an accident you are going to have to:
-
Satisfy the legally valid claims of others for up to the state minimum 10/20/10 which is $10,000 Personal Injury Protection "PIP" and $10,000 Property damage liability.
-
Obtain compulsory insurance for the next 3 years.
If these two requirements are not satisfied, the driver's license of the operator, and the registration of all vehicles of the owner are suspended.

Motorcycle insurance not only protects you as a rider, but it also protects you from the other drivers on the road as well as other people ridding with you, your health, your bike, and your assets in the event of an accident.
